Musical games
The Horse Race
All the kids are seated on the floor in front of the adult. The first thing the kids have to do is imitate a horse's trot. To do this, you have to hit your thighs rhythmically. The adult will indicate when they need to go faster or slower for the rhythm to speed up or die down.
The horses will run into hedges. To jump them, the kids should lean back and lift up their arms and legs. To make it more fun, you can wave to the spectators looking at you from the stands. The end is very important, as you are going to have to sprint very quickly to reach the finish line first.
And you cannot forget the photo at the finish line. This kids have to put on their best smile.
Musical Chairs
To get the kids used to the game, first place the same number of seats as participants who are going to play. The seats should form a circle. Put on the music and have the participants go around to the rhythm of the music. When the music stops, every player must sit in a seat.
Once they are familiar with this, take out a seat. You will put one seat less than the number of players. Put on the music and when you stop it, all will look for a seat. The one without a seat will grab a chair from the circle and leave the game. Repeat the game until one wins.
Rhymes
Have all the children sit in a circle and give a piece of paper and a pen to each kid. Every player should make up a couplet with their name and write it on their paper.
When all have finished, start reciting. Each one should recite their couplet. An example of a couplet for a girl: this is the story of Mary, a girl with a pet canary.
Snakes
The kids begin the game kneeling as if they were snakes inside a basket. All should be spread out over all the available space.
When they hear the music, they should come up little by little, moving as if they were snakes. When the music stops all should go back to their knees again until the music starts once more.
